What Clients Are Saying Constantinople Restaurant (GG)
5 /5 Chris K: Great food, excellent suggestions from our waiter and a welcoming atmosphere. Had originally opted for a simpler dish but the waiter suggested the lamb shank, which was amazing. (Didnt eat any of the chips because the lamb and salad was that good!)
Thanks for making it a great experience.
5 /5 Rj Le: Went today for an early dinner, and was really impressed with the decor and music which added to the ambience of the restaurant. The complimentary dishes and the food was superb as was the warm welcome by the staff member. Highly recommend this restaurant in Brighton.
5 /5 Steve Morgan: Why go all the way to Istanbul when Brighton offers you a version of the previous incarnation?
Constantinople is a small but perfectly formed Turkish restaurant just outside of Brighton city centre. Bookings seem essential if youre not wishing for disappointment.
The menu is just the right length with some interesting items not always found in other Turkish restaurants.
The fried lambs liver starter gave a hint rather than strong flavour of liver. Combined with peppers an onions it set the meal up nicely.
The international range of wines will suit different tastes. But the Turkish red was a must, and provided a light and fruity accompaniment.
The Buryan Kebap was a delicate variation on the often tried lamb shank. The absence of a bone and the melt in the mouth flavour was kost welcome.
The Constantinople was an excellent choice on a visit to friends in Brighton. Not surprisingly, they return often!
5 /5 Pete Basterfield: First time we have visited this restaurant and wish we had done it sooner as its only a 5 minute walk away. Great food and good value. Lighting, music and overall ambience really hits the spot. Very relaxing environment and plenty of space between the tables. The service was excellent too. Nothing not to like.
5 /5 Carina Gonzalez-Kinsella: My partner & I visited this restaurant last night and it was great. The food was absolutely delicious with so many flavours. The staff gave us a few complimentary dishes as they were so busy. The food tasted very fresh and flavourful. It’s quite a small restaurant and I did struggle with the noise but with loophole earplugs it was manageable. It’s very affordable too. Kind to people with disabilities and make amendments to dishes. No issues with gluten-free diet. Lots of dairy though.
Hazel Wicks Brilliant Restaurant! We went there Christmas Eve and again on Thursday night last, great atmosphere, clean, light and service was fantastic and welcoming. Food was absolutely lovely, good prices, value for money and excellently cooked and presented. My new place to go. Recommended.
