Nandos Wood Green -

Rating: 4.1 /5
Ankit Kailaswar Nando’s Wood Green offers a familiar, casual dining experience with a few ups and downs. Located in a small complex near Wood Green tube station, it’s easy to spot and fairly accessible. According to locals, this branch is halal, which helps broaden its appeal. Inside, the space is modest and can feel cramped when busy. Some reviews mention that the place is “quite small” for a Nando’s and could benefit from more room. The layout is typical: counter ordering up front, seating in the dining area, with décor reflecting the brand’s signature look. Cleanliness is generally acceptable. Service is one of the stronger aspects. Staff are often described as friendly and helpful. Many reviews praise how quickly orders are handled. However, there are occasional negative comments about undercooked food, soggy sides, or poor beverage quality when ordering via apps or delivery. Some customers also report inconsistent portion sizes and occasionally rude staff experiences. In terms of food, what you expect from a Nando’s is mostly delivered: grilled chicken with peri-peri seasoning, sides, and their signature sauces. Many guests consider the food “well prepared.” But there are mixed reports: some say the chicken was undercooked, and some sides (like chips) were soggy. Overall, Nando’s Wood Green is a solid choice for a quick, reliably familiar meal. If you go during non-peak hours, you’ll likely get better comfort, more space, and smoother service.

Blacklock Shoreditch - City of London

Khost Milad (Dr) Blacklock Shoreditch was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The steak was truly outstanding in both flavour and quality – perfectly cooked, rich, juicy, and clearly prepared with real skill and care. Every bite felt deliberate and confident, exactly what you hope for from a restaurant known for meat. The sides were equally impressive and far from secondary; each one was full of flavour and thoughtfully prepared, complementing the main dish beautifully. We visited on a Friday night, and although the restaurant was very busy, everything felt calm and well organised. There was no sense of chaos or rushed service, which says a lot about how well the place is run. The staff were attentive, friendly and efficient throughout. We went for the “All In” option, which was an excellent choice. It included a starter and two sides, and for two people the total came to £63 including the service charge. For the quality, atmosphere and overall experience, it felt extremely good value. A restaurant that genuinely lives up to its reputation.

Ke I Kevin Had a meal here to celebrate a birthday. Have been to other steakhouses this one slightly better. Food was amazing, but maybe priced as in centre of London. The table was a little cramped in a corner and waitress had to reach over us to serve some oc us. There were however other seats with more room, so maybe as we were a party of 5 we were the ones making it awkward. The food was amazing, with little or no waste and the Happy Hour cocktails a bonus.

Paradise Biryani - Hounslow

daniel This restaurant is God’s gift to the world, I’m not exaggerating. Outstanding value for money and even more impressive flavours. The chef, Mohammed is a culinary genius. Do yourself a favour and try the onion bhaji which are like pillows from heaven: crunchy, soft and delicious. They are gently dusted in a delicate spice mix which is incredible. The standout dish has to be the chicken 65, available in several formats, but my favourite is as a biryani. It is as if angels of spice are gently massaging your tongue. Having a bad day? Try the chicken curry with two naans and a drink for a ridiculous £8. You will forget your problems ever existed. You cannot get such good food, for such a good price, anywhere else. Try it and you will understand. 735/10.
