Autumn Y Youre directed to a check in area upon arrival where you can drop off your stuff in a locker (free). Youll need to hand in your ID at that time to get a visitors pass. Following that, you make your way into the prison. Youll have to remove jackets/jewelry/extras, go through a metal detector, and get a pat down. Youre then led into the restaurant. Youll be sat, given time to look over the menu, and ask questions if needed. The environment itself looks like one of a regular restaurant, with the exception of plastic cutlery. The staff were partly in training when I was there, so they were decently chatty and eager to help with anything. They did try to upsell a decent amount, but that is probably in part to the training bit, in terms of learning how to work that in more flawlessly. Ordered a pork chop that came with soba noodles and a smashed cucumber salad. The food tasted good overall. They have their regular desserts as well as ones that are made by the inmates there (separate menu for these). So ask to see what those are to support them if youd like. When leaving, you will need to be escorted, so just be sure to ask for your host before you head out.

B Grossi Don Luigi in Streatham Hill is one of those rare independent restaurants that genuinely deserves more recognition. Everything here is made with care, using high-quality ingredients, and it shows in the flavour of every dish. Maria runs the front of house and is always friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Her partner Alessio is the chef, and you can taste the passion and skill in his cooking. The food is consistently excellent. The zucchini fritte are a highlight. Light, crisp, and perfectly cooked. The pizzas are outstanding, with some of the best dough in London (coming from a fellow Italian). The G.O.A.T pizza is my favourite and is one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Drinks are also done properly. The Negronis are made exactly as they should be, well balanced and strong (in the best way). The pasta dishes are also worth mentioning. The pasta is freshly made and there’s real attention to detail in each recipe. Every dish has its own character and flavour, and nothing feels rushed or generic. It’s proper Italian cooking. Don Luigi is a hidden gem and exactly the kind of independent Italian place people should support. It’s a restaurant built on quality, passion, and proper hospitality, and it’s always a pleasure to eat there.

Samiah S I had an incredible experience ordering food from House of Spice! The process was smooth, and my food arrived hot and well packaged. The menu offers a fantastic variety of authentic Indian dishes, and everything I ordered was bursting with flavour. The spices were perfectly balanced, not overpowering, making each bite truly enjoyable even at home. The naan was soft and freshly baked, and the curries were rich and satisfying. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring I received excellent service even through the ordering process. Overall, House of Spice is a wonderful spot for anyone craving delicious, authentic Indian cuisine, whether dining in or taking out. I’ll definitely be ordering again soon!
