Ray on the Go Lovely Local Spot with Great Food and Coffee. La Mela Mediterranean Cuisine is a fantastic local cafe and restaurant in Hackney. The team is always welcoming and friendly, and the service is consistently excellent. Their coffee is always on point — smooth, fresh, and the perfect start to the day. I’ve had breakfast here a few times and it’s always been top quality. The menu is quite broad too, offering a variety of options for lunch and more, so there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re popping in for a quick coffee, a relaxed breakfast, or a sit-down meal, La Mela delivers every time. Highly recommend if youre in the area!

Whis Revu Always good food and a nice quiet environment meant so you can have conversations with friends and family in peace. Ade is always a great host and it is a great place to relax.

Arianna Soares Shankeys never misses! I have been twice this year and would definitely say it is my top restaurant in 2025. The cauli cheese is out of this world! The service is also amazing with the staff being super attentive and always ensuring you are enjoying your meal. Prices are super reasonable and not overpriced even tho it is a small plates restaurant - which is super rare in London! The only thing I did not enjoy the last 2 times I have been are the potatoes- they don’t take my fancy but that is just a personal preference! I will be back soon!

Jennifer Nightingale Such a gem of a find. the man who served us was so kind and friendly. we ordered a variety of food and it was all banging. would 100% come again if i’m in the area! the home made hand pulled beef noodles were great!
