We also have to mention the service - Polite, attentive (but no overly so) , professional - great service inline with the food. Will definitely be going again and fully recommend it.

(Also took the opportunity to take the Aston Martin Heritage tour, which I’d strongly recommend as it’s only 10 minutes away). Got a friendly welcome from Kim at the Chequers when we arrived late afternoon. We ate at the pub that evening, food was great and the service from both Kim and Mack was brilliant. Got a good nights sleep, rooms are quiet and well equipped. Good shower and fast WiFi. Breakfast was amazing with loads of choice and good quality ingredients. Proper freshly ground coffee was an added bonus. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this pub/hotel. The hosts Kim & Mack make the difference and it’s a pleasant surprise to find such committed staff in hospitality these days.
