The cooking is perfect without being pretentious, not your bling bling restaurant, but classically delightful complementing the whole ethos of this delightful restaurant. 2 /5 RPL: I’ve always liked TFT and have visited since it first opened. I usually come for special occasions, mostly birthdays. Most recently, I visited on 27 January to celebrate my birthday. Over the years, I feel the food has generally improved. On this visit, I ordered the specials for both starter and main. The starter was a veal pâté. Although it contained some veal, it seemed to be made up mostly of other meats, which was acceptable, but it was quite heavy on raisins and nuts. For the main course, I had the duck special. Unfortunately, this was disappointing. It was simply a fried duck leg that appeared overcooked, very oily, and dry. Based on the food alone, I would rate the overall experience 3/10.

5 /5 Caroline Heatg: We had a voucher from Christmas 2024 from my son , which I hoped to use Christmas 2025 to celebrate my 60th. Unfortunate I had a stroke in August 25 which took away my taste, smell and appetite. I hoped my taste would return but I didn’t want to waste the voucher when I couldn’t enjoy it. I emailed Christof who quickly responded by saying he was happy to extend the voucher till March 26 . By Feb my taste was practically back to normal so we booked a table. They made us feel so special from the moment we walked in and decorated the table with 60 birthday decorations although it was obviously a belated birthday. The food and drink were exceptional all the way through. We had the tasting menu and with each course there were wines paired to go with each course.the food and drink were fantastic and so was the service all the way through we were made to feel special. We have heard about the French Table for years and were certainly not disappointed. We will definitely go back!
