5 /5 George Hammond: I came in for Sunday lunch with my family and I cannot fault the service. The young girl serving us was calm and chatty, even though the restaurant was almost fully booked, and the lad who brought our food out was extremely lovely and quick at bringing out our food and extra sauces. We had roast beef and fish and chips, with an unusual request that they were more than happy to accommodate. Overall, it was an enjoyable atmosphere, so we stayed a little while after finishing our food and never once felt rushed to leave, the waitress checked up on us now and then, asking if we wanted anything more until we were ready for the bill. I would definitely recommend this pub to anyone looking for a nice atmosphere, especially for a family. We will definitely be coming back and will recommend it to others.

Step inside and you’re met not by staff, but by hosts, bright-eyed and brilliantly friendly, the kind of people who make you feel as though you’ve lived here your whole life. There’s a soft murmur of conversation, a clink of glasses, and that unmistakable sense of community, so rare these days, yet alive and well within these walls. And then the food arrives. Not “pub grub,” not even close - this is craft, incredibly good dishes that carry a quiet confidence,as if they know they’ll exceed every expectation long before you lift a fork. 5 /5 linda gilbert: Popped in for a quick drink and decided to have lunch as well. Served by Rob who was pleasant and helpful and took time to explain about my wine even though he was quite busy. Our only critisism is that the Sausage roll priced at 8.00 was the smallest we have ever been served although it tasted good it was literally two mouthfuls. Ending on a positive note the Fish finger sandwhich was good.

We thought the food was a bit pricey but after tasting the food we ordered the whole of our agreed it was well worth the money and we all chose something different. Have to say a big shout out to Rob, the young man that took our orders, bought over our food abd drinks. Hes an absolute star, the service was excellent, he answered our questions and nothing was too much trouble. Were definitely going back there, just one more thing, their toilets are immaculate. Was a lovely all round experience.
