Café du Jardin - (Near East Sussex, South East)

2 /5 Beth Robinson: Service was slow and then our bill got given to another table after waiting ages for it to turn up. The food itself was fine— we could see a lot of effort was put into the presentation, but it was a bit expensive for what it was. Lovely spot to sit and have a break with a coffee though.

5 /5 James Ward: Nice food and friendly service. We arrived on a sunny, warm day. With drinks, it came to just over £20 per person. Very reasonable.

5 /5 dan g: A charming outdoor cafe serving great food. Friendly, attentive service. Lovely atmosphere. The food was good, my only slight criticism is that the salad was slightly too heavy on the dressing, but otherwise it was great. Harvey’s beer of course - what else in Lewes.

5 /5 Jon Anderson: We had a delicious brunch time snack at the cafe du jardin. The entrance way is unassuming but dont let that fool you, this rustic restaurant serves delicious bites and thirst quenching drinks in a relaxed and informal French cafe style both outdoor and indoor tables and believe me this place gets busy. Our server, Albie was an absolute gem, he worked hard to ensure no one was waiting, very attentive and capable. As you can see from my photos the food is excellent. However I wished I had ordered one of the tasting plates as they look fantastic.
