5 /5 Asha Hassan: I would always take my friends to grab a bite from here. All menu items are made fresh and the food hits the spot. For anyone whos new to the place I would recommend the popcorn chicken, with garlic, plum and chilli powders (leave the chilli if you cant handle spice) Ive visited Ji chicken spots in London and Reading and must say the Reading branch does it the best. All the menu is halal with some great vegetarian options also.

2 /5 Dee: Only ever had delivery from here, so no idea on what the restaurant and staff are like. The food is tasty BUT, it’s incredibly expensive for what you get! We ordered fried seafood sticks (got 7) (which, let’s be honest, you can get 16 for around £1-2), some crispy chicken skin (again, wouldn’t cost a lot at all) and a strawberry boba tea. This came to £24.36. Extortionate I say! Half this amount would be more than adequate and fair.

4 /5 lukivarudi San Grung: LY: The value of getting a meal is great, large portion of chicken of your choice + chips + soft drink or bubble tea. You definitely wont leave still feeling hungry afterwards AN: The value of the meal isn’t great, fries are good, chicken fillets are well seasoned, and quickly made. Avoid the chicken thigh, red, has the texture of raw chicken. NG: The value for meals is mostly good but the fries is one of its best things to get, even by itself. You can also substitute the beverage with a bubble tea if you want to. The waiting times for certain meals can take a lot longer than others, but sometimes the chicken can appear pink which can be concerning for some patrons.

1 /5 Jayla: Extremely disappointed today (22 July 2025) We’ve been regular customers of this chicken shop for the past year. Every single time we’ve had the chicken it has always been delicious. But today was an entirely different story, and I feel obligated to speak up. Not out of anger, but out of genuine concern for customer health. We bought our usual chicken order at around 2:30 PM today. On the way home, we tried the two bags of chicken and it was sour. I thought maybe it was just me, so I asked all the members of my family to try it, and every single one of them said the same thing: the chicken was off. I rang the shop to let them know, thinking they’d want to be aware in case it affected other customers. I didn’t even ask for a refund at first because this wasn’t about the money. It was about the fact that serving spoiled chicken is a health risk. But instead of being understanding, the woman on the phone was shockingly rude. When I explained the situation and offered to send a receipt. I even pointing out that one item (non-chicken) in the order was fine, but the other clearly wasn’t. She simply said we’d have to return the chicken to the shop — even after I told her that we live 30 minutes away. A 1-hour round trip, just to possibly prove a point, with no guarantee of a refund or replacement while continuing to speak with an entirely unacceptable tone. At that point, I had to explain that you simply can’t treat customers like that, especially when the issue is about something as serious as food safety. I want to be clear: this was never about getting a few pounds back. We’ve supported the shop for its amazing food. But today, I was just extremely disappointed, not just by the food, but by the lack of care in how the issue was handled. I genuinely hope: 1. You check your chicken and food storage immediately 2. You train staff to speak respectfully to concerned customers 3. You understand this is about people’s health, not money Please do better.

4 /5 Tien-shin Luo: 2025/07 As a Taiwanese, I’d say this fried chicken is very good! The flavor is spot on—about 8/10 in terms of authenticity. It’s a little on the pricey side, but still well worth trying. A great option if you’re craving a taste of Taiwan abroad!
