5 /5 zy Z: The dry pot beef brisket was really good and the portion was huge. The beef was tender and full of flavour, and the dish came to the table still steaming hot. Definitely great for sharing. Good value and a very satisfying meal!

4 /5 Patrick N.: One of my go-to meals is hor fun. I know what I like and what makes it good. Oriental Gourmet served up a satisfying dish—fresh, hot, chewy noodles with a light wok-hei flavour. There was a decent amount of meat, too. It’s not the best hor fun I’ve had, as I prefer more wok-hei, but I still enjoyed it. We also ordered a chicken katsu curry, which was pretty good for a non-Japanese establishment. If you have a choice of seating, I’d pick a table in the front half of the restaurant, as you can unfortunately smell the toilets closer to the back.

5 /5 wenjun xia: The bullfrog hot pot here is really authentic — nicely spicy and numbing without being overwhelming. The frog is well prepared, tender, and not fishy at all. The flavours are very close to what you’d find in China. Definitely a place I’d come back to.

The Bullfrog, Pork Ribs & Shrimp Charcoal Hotpot is the star — rich broth, smoky aroma, and tender ingredients that soak up every bit of spice and umami. You can taste the depth of flavor that only real charcoal fire can bring. Don’t miss the sides: Northeast Guobaorou (锅包肉) – crispy, tangy-sweet, and perfectly golden. Spicy Mashed Potato Noodles (麻辣土豆泥拌粉) – smooth, spicy, and addictive. Plum Tornado Fries (甘梅旋风薯塔) – a fun, crunchy snack with a sweet-sour kick. Grape Yakult Green Tea (葡萄养乐多绿茶) – refreshing and a perfect match for the heat. The atmosphere is warm and lively, just like a true Sichuan gathering spot. Every dish feels handcrafted with care and tradition. Overall: Definitely one of the best new Chinese food experiences in the UK!
