1 /5 Darren A. Smith: Our first experience of this pub. We chose it because it is a Greene King and we expected better. I have a number of concerns about our experience: 1. The rubbish in the car park, see pictures. A lovely setting spoilt by a lack of care by the staff. 2. Our food took 45 minutes to arrive and we had no warning. 3. All the chips on all the meals were cold. At the very least you’d expect the chips to be hot. 4. The steaks were supposed to be medium rare but they were more like well done. 5. Our plates weren’t cleared even 30 minutes later. 6. We went back to the bar afterwards to order teas and they tried to charge us for breakfasts. All in all, I’d not go back because the food and service were poor. Plus, the car park needs tidying up. *** Updated 91-12-25 *** The pub replied to my review and asked me to email. I did on the 30th October. I chased 3 times and received a reply finally on 24-11-25. Their offer was ambiguous, so I asked for clarification on 25-11-25, and heard nothing back. I give up. Poor venue, service, and latterly, poor communication.

5 /5 Adam: Family of 4, kids 6&9, came here after a long weekend to eat and avoid cooking. Had 2 rump steaks, cooked exactly as wed asked, all the food was hot and plentiful, kids ate off the larger kids menu, cheeseburger was loved by the 6 year old, and tacos were also good. They were chicken wraps, not tacos though, and the 9 year old loved them. Kids drinks were big, menus needed a wipe down, and I brushed some crumbs off the bench, apart from that, it was great. Used the app to order at the table rather than go to the bar, food arrived quickly. Havent been here to eat for a while but would def recommend based on this visit. Just ordered dessert, watch this space.

4 /5 Naz A: A very typical Green King pub. Ive always been happy with the selection. I asked for a well done steak and enjoyed it. Mixed reviews from the company I was with. The salmon went down a treat. There was plenty of space to sit on a Wednesday, inside and out. Free parking. The staff were friendly enough. I would go again.

5 /5 Frederick Campbell: The food is great! I go every now and again with family and it’s lovely. The burgers are amazing and taste so good and overall it’s a very nice place. I will say though the tables can sometimes feel a little sticky but despite that it’s very good.

4 /5 W W Howe: Pub owned by Greene King near Tunbridge Wells in Kent. Its quite a large pub with a few areas inside, some for more for drinkers and the rest for dining. It has a dart board,a poll table and there are various large screen TVs showing Sky Sports. There are some good deals on food but it was disappointing to find that a fair few options were not available. No Sunday roast on Sunday! I ended up with my third main course option. The food arrived in about 20 minutes, to be honest I have seen and tasted better meals in other Greene King pubs which have much the same menu. I recently signed up for the Greene King sports App which entitled me to a free drink. The barman didnt know how this worked but the manager stepped in to help. I used the toilet and discovered that the soap dispenser was completely missing. The pub has an outside area which looked nice lit up as the light faded. I have had good experiences in most Greene King pubs but felt this one a little below par. 3.5/5 would be my rating if that were possible.
