Thakali Cuisine Cafe & Bar - (Near , South East)

3 /5 Rajiv Shrestha: After many people suggested us to try this restaurant for typical Nepali Thakali, I went with my family. Were greeted nice and served the good food. But the atmosphere of the restaurant is not good at all. We were there only family having a dinner and asks the owner to change the songs to another Nepali songs, at that time he’s listening to his own type of song, he directly denied he can’t play other songs. For the first time I’ve seen owner like that. Completely unacceptable behaviour and no professionalism. But the chef and service it’s awesome. Chefs came personally and asked about the foods and how they can improve more and have bit chitchats. Service girl, she’s nice and professional. If the attitude of the owner is same like this they will loose customers very soon, I guess the restaurant is running nice because of staffs not that old boring owner.

1 /5 swastika tamang: Came here for a Thakali khana set. The service was honestly disappointing. I asked for additional rice and waited around 30 minutes- nothing came. When I went to pay, a staff member (not sure if she was the owner) mentioned customer usually ask for extra because the food is tasty. That’s fine- but I did ask, and it was never served. Maybe instead of sugar-coating at the counter, staff should actually listen to customers the first time.

5 /5 S TG: This was our first visit. We ordered sekuwa and chatpate for starter which was very tasty. We ordered thakali set, dhido set and roti set for main which was exquisite. Hot ghee served at the table was special ❤️. Loved it. Restaurant is spacious, clean and bright. FRIENDLY staff and fast service in spite of busyness. We will definitely visit again. Multi storey Parking or road side parking is just opposite the restaurant. Free after 6pm or Sunday all day

5 /5 Ashes Gurung: Had a pleasure of visiting this lovely place. This was my first time visiting this place. The owner was very professional. The food we ordered was pork and mutton thali. Sukuti chatpate, mango lassi. The organic Ghee was a lovely touch.

5 /5 Sushma Gurung: Our intention to first visit the place was to try the thali - we were bit uncertain about the taste however we decided to try the food. To our surprise we end up having chicken momos and other starters until we were full. The star of that day was chicken momos for sure. It was just perfect and appetizing exactly what we have in Nepal. This time we went again to try thali however i could not stop myself from ordering chicken momo again but my hub order special thali for himself with 2 options of meat. Without any doubt it was so so good. Felt like we were eating authentic nepali food which we always crave for - home away from home food. The special thali was perfect 10/10. The rice was perfectly cooked, the mutton was soft and tender. My husband was really impressed and could not stop praising the food. Super satisfied and happy. The restaurant owner is really friendly and kind. I really loved how engaging and caring he was. He ensure to turn on the heater for you if you feeling cold. It was nice to have good conversation with him. Highly recommend!!
