5 /5 Screaming Mandrake: Lovely little miniature railway run by volunteers (check their website for running days). Located within a fantastic park so great for the kids and the whole family. Take a picnic or visit the cafe. Has a great playground and there’s often ice cream vans alongside the park during the summer months. Also vans selling hot drinks, cakes, etc. Free roadside parking. Make a day of it!
5 /5 Gage Tim (Tim): The Hove Park Railway is operated by the Brighton and Hove Society of Model Locomotive Engineers. They provide a great, fun, safe, and educational experience. The volunteers are of all ages and are very passionate about the hobby and many have real-life experience from working on full size railways. They run fortnightly open days from spring to autumn and are always popular with all ages.
