3 /5 T C: Walked past the bins outside and genuinely thought that was part of the experience. They were overflowing, and rubbish was spilling out. We didnt want to judge a book by its cover, so we decided to give Afghan Chopan a go.
But when we saw the bathroom later on... lets just say that hygiene must have been on Christmas break.
The inside was empty and quiet, but we were seated straight away. The food may have looked appetising, but it was severely underwhelming. The chapli kebab was burnt, oily, and tasted like it had been deep-fried out of spite... which was probably the case, given the mean looks the man working there gave us. The meat curry was so mid and bland, and wasnt even hot. On the bright side, the naan was beautiful and fresh.
This restaurant gives a bad rep to Afghan food, and I honestly dont understand the high ratings this restaurant has received on google reviews. I would only recommend this restaurant if you were looking to build your character, or train your immune system.
