3 /5 Andrew Hubbard: A very elegant café in a prime Whitehall location, and the interior is undeniably grand and inviting — a nice place to escape the crowds while sightseeing. The cake and dessert display looks impressive, and the atmosphere promises a relaxing break.
Unfortunately, the coffee was the worst I’ve ever experienced. I had to send it back twice and eventually gave up altogether, deciding not to risk another attempt. Service was polite, but the coffee quality was a major letdown.
Nice surroundings, great food and tempting desserts, but if you’re coming specifically for coffee, this was a real disappointment.
