Bleecker Burger Victoria - Westminster

Rating: 4.2 /5
Mehmet This spot had been on my list for a long time, but I had never been able to try it because it was usually packed. This time it was completely empty, so I ordered the cheeseburger and the Angry House Fries. The staff member who helped me was also very friendly, which made the experience even better. With the smash burger craze being everywhere these days, it was a nice reminder that a classic burger patty on a fresh, lightly crisp sesame bun can still be excellent. The fries were crispy in a way that reminded me of In-N-Out style fries, but they set them apart with the burger sauce and buffalo sauce on top. That said, next time I would order the fries without sauce because I would rather eat them before they get soft. Even though the prices are close to those of the more famous smash burger spots, the portion of fries was especially generous. Among the new generation of burger places, this was one of the better burgers I’ve tried.

Skoods R Wonderful Thai restaurant that I visited for the 1st time tonight. Welcoming staff who were very attentive throughout but not obtrusive or annoying . The restaurant itself was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with perfect subdued lighting. Perfect spacing between tables and comfortable chairs. The menu was varied and clearly laid out offering great range of dishes for vegetarian and meat eaters! Great options for set menus available but we chose à la carte, all dishes tasty and authentic. The wine list had perfect array of choice to suit palate and purse. Can’t wait to return to explore & taste more dishes. Tonight we tried the sweet & sour and signature “ sticky I am” chicken variety main dishes accompanied with Phad Thai noodles. All extremely delicious (& to start tried chicken satay & salt n pepper squid). Both superb in flavour and quantity.

Shara Tahrima Hossain Saw this restaurant in passing and decided to check it out. We ordered the pulao with lamb shank. Starter came as chicken corn soup, and with the pulao they offered us afghan lamb koftas, bread, and salad. Everything was absolutely delicious, the man who served us was so friendly and the restaurant felt very warm and cozy. Will definitely come again!

William Peel Homestyle Hospitality at La Cafeteria – Walthamstow Located on Forest Road, La Cafeteria is the kind of place that feels like a second home. With its blend of Italian, Mediterranean, and café-style classics, it offers something for every mood — from a hearty brunch to a relaxed dinner or a late-night bite. The menu is broad but focused on comfort: pasta dishes, grilled meats, fresh salads, and indulgent desserts. We tried the lasagna and the grilled chicken with roasted vegetables — both were flavourful, well-seasoned, and served in generous portions. The tiramisu was a standout: creamy, rich, and clearly homemade. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with a mix of locals, families, and solo diners. The staff are friendly and attentive, often remembering regulars by name. Whether you’re popping in for a quick coffee or settling in for a full meal, you’re made to feel genuinely welcome. La Cafeteria also caters well to different dietary needs, offering vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, and it’s open from breakfast through late evening — a reliable go-to for any time of day. Final thought: If you’re after a cozy, unpretentious bistro with Mediterranean soul and a loyal local following, La Cafeteria is a lovely choice — generous, friendly, and full of flavour.

Mayhek - Barnet

Yaseen The food at Mayhek was absolutely delicious every single dish was full of rich flavour and freshly made. We had a big variety (seafood, meat curries, naan, and vegetable dishes) and everything came out piping hot and beautifully spiced. The garlic naan was soft and fluffy, the curries were packed with depth, and the sizzling prawns were a highlight. The service was friendly and welcoming throughout the staff made sure we were looked after and topped things up quickly. The atmosphere is cosy with a nice cultural touch, making it a comfortable place to sit down and enjoy a proper meal. For me, this was a very satisfying dining experience. The food really stands out as one of the best Indian spots I’ve tried, and I would happily come back again. Definitely a place I’d recommend if you want authentic, flavourful dishes with great service.
