La Gamba - Spanish Tapas Bar & Restaurant - (Near Southwark, london)

3 /5 Francesca Rizzo: Nice restaurant, we went for the bottomless sangria brunch. The food is pretty good, very generous portions with three tapas per person, we couldn’t even finish it all. The sangria is not the best I have ever had, but you can drink it quite easily! We also had a bottle of Cava (included in the bottomless) so can’t really complain. Service needs some improvement, generally very slow, which is not really what you want during a 90 minutes brunch; we also had one waiter with a bit of an attitude…so when we found a £33 discretionary service charge it was quite the surprise. We paid anyway as in the end the food was good.

5 /5 Marcela Reed: I took my family to spend New Year’s Eve at La Gamba, and it was our first time there — but definitely not the last. The atmosphere was amazing, and the staff were absolutely wonderful. A special shout-out to Dominik, who was incredibly kind and attentive. I also want to take a moment to sincerely thank the entire team for working on New Year’s Eve so that families like ours could be together. I know that can’t always be easy, and it truly meant a lot to us. Even though everyone was working that night, their smiles, positive energy, and great service did not go unnoticed. We really appreciated it and had a memorable evening. Highly recommended!

4 /5 Elena M Rosso: Loved the place. The service is absolutely amazing and staff really friendly and polite and know the job and food well, very attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious. We had a set menu and Sangria, spent 2 hrs and didnt want to leave. They are very busy in the evening so I would say a booking should be better to ensure you dont miss out. Music was slightly too loud for my ears, however my friends didnt not think so. This place is now on my list so definitely will be returning.

5 /5 Agustin Dal Lago: Second time here. The 6 dish tasting menu is great value and food is overall really tasty. At some point plates took quite a while to be delivered but the waiter realised and we got a free top up of our wine. Overall great dinner. Thank you!

5 /5 Sakina O’Connor: Came here with my boyfriend for our anniversary. Miguel welcomed us in like we were his family. He was super attentive and friendly! He gave us two glasses of bubbles to celebrate our anniversary which was a lovely touch. Food was absolutely amazing from start to finish! From the tasty jamón,pulpo scallops everything we enjoyed.We were so full but managed to squeeze in desserts! Definitely would recommend and we will be back soon! Thank you !
