5 /5 Neil Denny: We found a lovely Cafe in Whitstable at the end of the High Street, start of Harbour Street. There was a cosy atmosphere, great coffee and a warm welcoming service. My wife loved the homemade Sunburst apple cake, and my Croque Monsieur hit all the right spots. Next time I am going to try one of the delicious looking Galettes and an authentic Breton Cider……can’t wait!!
5 /5 Laura: Popped in not long before closing time as had gone for a walk in the rain and thought we would get a nice warm coffee for the walk back. Very welcoming and efficient, friendly service and great tasting coffee. We will definitely be coming back on our next walk/ run in Whitstable, thank you!!
(We love that the cups are compost-able too)
4 /5 Paul Forster: I had a great crepe (well, a galette) with ham cheese and a soft egg. Beautifully presented with ingredients folded into the crepe. My husband chose the one served with smoked salmon and cream cheese. But hus were just seperate components on the plate. He was disappointed by his and jealous of mine.
5 /5 Corinna Mannion: I love this cafe! Vanessa and Joel are the chefs and they have such a passion for the scrumptious food they make. Joel took the time to explain how he makes French toast- even writing down the recipe! He is an experienced chef, of French and Spanish descent, specialising in French and Spanish cuisine. Vanessa is French and makes all the food (along with Joel). The waitresses are smiley, friendly and attentive. The galettes are so light but filling. Delicious. The coffee is always superb and its dog friendly to boot! Such a unique place - I highly recommend this French cafe!!
5 /5 Justine Anderson: Solo traveler on a day trip in Whitstable, was recommended this quaint cafe by a local shop owner. It was such a sweet bustling atmosphere filled with locals having coffee, as well as tourists stopping in for a bite. I got a beautiful cappuccino paired with the madame croque and it was the BEST breakfast I’ve had since being in the UK! (And in top 10 of favorite breakfast places ever). Very hot and savory. The customer service was so kind and accommodating, I watched them interact with every customer attentively. My favorite cafe on my trip so far. Highly highly recommend.
Andrew Wheaton A quiet Monday lunchtime post Xmas, a quiet place but attentive staff, good food and quality drinks.
Would recommend and will definitely be back.
Ctn Pkt I had the time to go on Saturday. I ordered XXL-size oysters. They were very delicious, fresh, and clean. I ordered takeaway cause I wanna walk around the market but it turned out that after trying one, I ate it all without knowing it. Haha.
The restaurants atmosphere is good, and the surroundings are lively. Most of the people come as family. There is also alcohol and other foods inside.
Syd Eats Consistently outstanding battered fish. Perfectly cooked, fresh produce and light crunchy batter - every single time. Its a lovely family run restaurant you can always rely on. Choose from large, medium or small cod all priced accordingly. FYI the batter is NOT dairy-free. The chips are very English - more like chunky deep fried potato bits than the sort you get in a restaurant (do not expect the more fries style thick, tripple cooked, processed and way crispy sort). The prices are very reasonable. Sorry I didnt take a pic of the food but it was so good I forgot about photos and just ate it!
