1 /5 Alex Pasca: The atmosphere was off from the second we walked in. Every staff member appeared annoyed and uninterested. It was freezing outdoors, yet they insisted the door “had to stay open,” ignoring how cold everyone looked. The music was absurdly loud — we couldn’t hear each other at all. The person making pizzas seemed confused and sluggish, which didn’t inspire confidence. Meanwhile, the server kept slamming the door shut every time she came through. The cook was literally drinking behind the counter, wearing a sweaty leather top that looked nowhere near hygienic. Really disappointed, especially given the high praise this place seems to get.

I’ve been friends with the family owning the restaurant for years and their sense of community and hospitality leaves a unique mark in a neighbourhood, enhancing local culture and vibe so much. I’m not usually a fan of pizza but Lunablu’s pizzas is where I get my pizzas. I love the open floor with the oven visible to you directly behind you. Pizzas are all ver nicely hand made (you can watch the process) and come with high-quality toppings that make every bite taste authentic and full of flavour. Also, ask the owner about wine or liquors, they’ll have great selections. The spirit of Lunablu is in its story — named after the owner’s child. It’s clear they care about both the food and the experience. Whether you’re going for a relaxed dinner with friends or a casual date night, Lunablu delivers every time. Easily the best pizza spots in the area, and a place you’ll come back to all the time – a real neighbourhood treasure.
