What Clients Are Saying M and D Japanese Deptford (GG)
5 /5 Eva Rosa Atra: Best tofu katsu Ive ever had, tasty food in general, great curry sauce. If you come Mon-Fri between 12-15 you get the full meal at discounted price. As I usually have takeaway, the picture shows the meal on my plate and sakurazuke (Daikon radish) is my own addition (you get pickled ginger in the restaurant instead). Lovely staff, I highly recommend this place.
5 /5 V KING: M and D has delicious Japanese food! I ordered the crispy shrimp tempura crunch sushi roll and it was delicious and excellent value for the portion at ÂŁ8 for 8 pieces. The chicken katsu with rice and California roll (5x pieces) were amazing too. It is an underrated spot next to Deptford station (2 min walk). And the chefs are so lovely.
5 /5 Richard Newton: Very good choice and top quality food. Get yourself down there.
Wenjia Tang The food is AMAZING and comes in huge portions. Every dish we’ve tried is full of flavours. The staff are lovely too!
Will definitely come back ❤️
Kim Mansell THE best place to eat in Deptford!!
I thought the brunch was amazing (chorizo bagel is heaven) but then we went for the new rotisserie chicken and it was incredible! Succulent, good quality chicken that it brined over night and cooked to perfection along with the most delicious mushroom cream sauce! The wine is beautiful too, a glass of premium red or white that goes so well with the food.
The owners are just so lovely and welcoming, you will come here and feel like you left as part of the local community.
Coming back for the amazing looking cocktails soon!
REG Interesting toilet situation at SALT Deptford. The toilets, once I imagine not unisex, now are.
This didnt impact on their functionality though. They seemed to work fine.
The pint I had here was quite nice also, they had a range of other drinks available and also pizza. Ive had a pizza here in the past and although it hasnt stuck in my mind as a glowing example (see D4100, Crisp W6) it wasnt particularly bad. Probably ok to good.
Nicely done out interior here too.
Diana R As a “certified foodie” from Hispanic descent, I really enjoyed this pizza. I got the Lucky Cow pizza and it was amazing! The spice and flavor were there from the brisket and it reminded me of how birria tacos taste from the tenderness of the meat to the salsa and jalapeños adding that spicy kick I love in food. I love that it’s stone fired so the crust has the right balance of crispy on the edges and still soft in the right places. Totally recommend trying out this place! Ted is great at making one of the best pizzas I’ve ever tried.
