3 /5 Yaiza Maldonado: My partner and I decided to get a Chinese takeaway from this restaurant because of the great reviews. I was aware that it is more expensive than other Chinese restaurants, but it looked very good, so I was expecting high-quality food with nice flavours.
We ordered five dishes, and unfortunately, two of them were very plain and bland. I love Chinese food for its bold flavours and I’m always happy to pay more if the quality matches the price. Sadly, I was disappointed and feel that the prices are high for what is offered.
The Malaysian Mee Goreng noodles and the Sambal Tumis Tender Pork were particularly disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend these dishes.
Additionally, the prices on the website menu are different from the ones in the restaurant, which should be updated to avoid confusion.
On a positive note, the service was very nice and friendly. The restaurant was full and other customers seemed happy. However, I am very unsatisfied with the overall value for money. For spring rolls, egg fried rice, beef in oyster sauce, noodles and pork, we paid £44. They didn’t even provide complimentary prawn crackers or anything similar.
I believe there is room for improvement, especially considering the price point.
