4 /5 Jeff Fedyk: Really enjoyed spending the weekend here. The owners have done a great job in making the place hospitable. Great, spotless, well stocked rooms with a great bar that had four quality ales to offer. Spent some time talking to the owner who had a good knowledge of many topics, most of which coincided with my interests. Small but perfectly formed outside space with bbq facilities for the warmer weather. Will look to book here again maybe for the racing at Ascot.

5 /5 Eric Smith: I loved my stay here. Chess is an amazing cook, and I much preferred to eat here than forage out on the town. Would tell anyone traveling on business or with a loved one that your money is well spent here. The Goat in the Garden bar is so friendly too, so you can have a drink later and go right back to your room.

5 /5 Sanaz Collins: A wonderful wkend away with my partner before lockdown, very relaxing. The hosts were amazing and very hospitable. Large en-suite rooms, each with a different theme. Very clean, bar on site, excellent home made meals and live music in evenings. We will definitely be staying again!! Perfect for romantic getaways or just a change of scenery or that special occasion. Genuinely had a blast.

5 /5 TATYANA WEBB: Beautiful hidden Gem to spend weekend! We love this hotel away from town centre . Stunning Victorian house surrounded with tall trees, roses and various plants. You feel relaxed , away from fast pace of life. We stayed in African Theme room on a ground floor with on-suite, exceptionally cleaned and fresh with super comfortable bed! We love the rich warm colours of the walls, pictures, chandelier, curtains, beddings and every small item in the room and even bathroom that support the main theme. Morning coffee ☕️ and freshly prepared breakfast on terrace in a great bonus !❤️ You can order tasty dishes for your meals from hotel menu. The free time you can spend in amazing bar “The Goat in a garden” located in the back of the hotel. There you can find a clear water stream with small fish too. Thank You so much to Willem and Ches for your Hospitality. We are definitely coming to stay again.
