Peter Byrne Ate at this restaurant on Stratford High Street on an early Sunday evening. The place was packed, obviously (based on overheard conversations) mostly by Ukrainians. The menu has lots of choice, but is mostly dominated by Ukrainian dishes. The most enormous starter filled me up so I could only manage about two thirds of my main course. There were some interesting looking desserts too, but no chance of any room in my stomach for those. My advice, go there hungry as you definitely wont be when you leave. Very hearty and tasty fare, washed down by a pleasant Ukrainian beer.

Cassie Meadow GORGEOUS atmosphere - tearoom floral chairs, flowers everywhere, twinkly lights. very cute place. menu looked impressive. maybe we just didn’t choose the right things - felt the meals were very well presented but bland. i do plan to go back and try something else bc it really is a special place. the desserts i tried were VERY delicious - cinnamon crinkle cookies were bursting with flavour and moist. the apricot gallet was lovely and nice flakey pastry

Frank Food taste is ok, nothing special, not the worst either. Portions are absolutely tiny, not even suitable for a child. Very very stingy. You literally need to order 5 mains per person plus 3 starters per person to feel satisfied. You probably need to spend ÂŁ130-150 per person in order to have a normal sized dinner. Not justifiable as the food is not fine dining. If you want fine dining go to Gymkhana (before the owner tells me I dont know proper food, I have had Gymkhana, which is more like fine dining). Service is reasonable though, the lady was attentive and friendly. Wouldnt go again as not fantastic taste and portions are suitable for a 1 year old baby rather than an adult. Shame as I was expecting more from a place that claims to be authentic. Ultimately didnt order more as the food was sub-par.

David Hemming Always get my kebab and chips dinner from here if Im in the mood to be bad. The Mrs loves the chicken kebab (its grilled and has salad so it counts as healthy apparently).

Khashim Uddin I visited Buddies after seeing their TikTok videos, and I’m glad I did. We tried the East End Burger, East End Wings, Spicy Dip Burger, and the East End Doner, along with an Oreo milkshake. The East End sauce was creamy with a nice spicy kick. The wings were big, juicy, and had perfectly crispy breading. The fillet burger was huge — honestly, I could’ve been satisfied with just that alone. You can really tell the doner they use is higher quality, definitely better than the usual PFC stuff. The Oreo milkshake was a hit with the kids. Even though I got takeout, the store itself looked modern and clean. Alhamdulillah, it’s a much better alternative to KFC, and it felt good knowing I was supporting a local business.

Yvonne Nazareth Our second visit via the First Table app. We loved the food and service. My flatiron steak was perfect as was my mushroom starter. My husband loved his onglet steak and real French onion soup. Will def go back.
