Natalia Rogowska With an upcoming stay at De Vere Beaumont Estate I got really stressed by the Google reviews of 1705 - I need to remember that more negative than positive reviews get posted online! The atmosphere was lovely and calm, the service was brilliant and the food was great. We shared a Camembert to start, which was creamy and lovely with a variety of breads. Our mains were great and I’d highly recommend the Tuffolo Gavi wine. The staff were very friendly and we honestly do not have a single bad comment about the experience. I thought it was important to post this review, which I wouldn’t normally do, so others feel reassured to not always trust everything they see online!

It’s the kind of space where you immediately feel comfortable, whether you’re here for a casual meal or a special occasion. The staff deserve special praise. Every visit, they have been attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring, without ever feeling intrusive. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and that energy makes a huge difference in the overall experience. And the food simply exceptional. Every dish is beautifully presented, thoughtfully prepared, and bursting with flavor. The consistency is what truly stands out: this is my fourth time coming back, and each visit has been just as impressive as the last. It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers at such a high level every single time. This is the kind of place you recommend without hesitation and keep returning to again and again. Nick Wood Food was absolutely fantastic! Had my usual double patty burger and was delicious. Have come many times and I feel now is the time to give a big shout out to our waiter Chris. Has looked after us a handful of times and I feel that now is the time to credit him for the amazing service he provides.

Surina Bassi Amazing, authentic Chinese restaurant which is full of friendly and helpful staff! The food was truly brilliant - I would go as far as saying the best Chinese I’ve had! We had a number of dishes and each one of those tasted great - all of the ingredients are fresh and the food came out as and when it was ready so it was nice and hot! With the great weather we sat outside and the atmosphere was lovely! Would highly recommend this to anyone in the area - the owners are kind and friendly, and made a couple of recommendations, all of which were great! My personal favourites were the twice cooked pork, three treasures of earth and the sugar glazed banana dessert - everything is so good it’s so hard to choose just one! Honestly, if you’re in the area this is a must-try! A big thank you to all the staff in this restaurant who went above and beyond during our visit!
