2 /5 Sarah Kinrade: We had an incredibly disappointing experience here. Four of us dining early evening on Saturday. Three of us ordered the soup, they all came out cold and had to be sent back. The duck roulade starter was bland and dry. Three ordered the same chicken main course. Again the whole meal came out cold and had to be sent back. A few minutes later we noticed a lady on another table also complaining that her steak was cold. When the chicken dishes returned, the waitress asked if my friend would like a fresh side of broccoli. She replied that she would but please can it be hot. The waitress rudely responded that they can only try their best (this is frankly the bare minimum!). When ordering the mango and passionfruit cheesecake the same waitress then said, "just so you know it wont be hot." This was incredibly rude and unnecessary. Another diner over heard her comment too and said how rude it was. Unfortunately when it came out it was completely flavourless and not worth eating. My friends crumble was also quite unpleasant. We are thankful that they removed items from the bill recognising that it hadnt been a great experience but the cold food, poor quality and rude service means we wont be returning

5 /5 Angela Morris: This was our first trip to the Angel. We had a wonderful Sunday lunch to celebrate my mums 75th Birthday. The menu had somthing for everyone with vegetarian and gluten free options. The food was delicious and the service was warm and friendly. They were also happy for me to bring a small cake for my mum and they decorated the plate with ‘happy birthday’ which was a lovely touch. We will definitely return!

5 /5 John Robertson: Very cosy and welcoming. Real English pub, good food and all the staff very friendly and helpful. Spent a fantastic evening by the wood burning stove, making new friends (local dog) and enjoying some good home cooked food and drinks.

5 /5 Hayley Pheiffer: Absolutely beautiful pub. Friendly staff. So glad we booked here for Sunday lunch. Food choice and quality were brilliant and suited all of our party. One of the best Sunday lunches I have ever had. Unable to comment regarding rooms as we didnt stay here.
