5 /5 Alastair Smith: Another exceptional experience, consistently fantastic. I know its Sunday and my wife and son had Beef, but I had to try the crab, and it certainly did not disappoint. Lovely Pinot Noir and fantastic sorbets and sticky toffee pudding. Revisited 11 Jan 2026. As ever, lovely staff and food quality rather good, exceptional. Should be very proud.

4 /5 Wendy “fussy1234”: lovely pub and good service. the only comment is I find the dishes that we had were a bit salty ie cod croquettes and haddock fillet.which is a slight shame.

5 /5 Zoe Hall: Simply THE perfect English country pub - whether for cosy lunches on cold winter days or it’s gorgeous too being outdoors overlooking the green in summer. I love everything about this pub - the warm, welcoming feel, the cosy nooks and old low beams, the food (more diverse and interesting than usual pub meals) and the staff on our most visit were memorably friendly and fun. The only thing I don’t like is it’s nowhere near where I live! It’s an hour’s drive away, but we keep going back for family reunions because it’s so good.
