Stephs Jamaican Food -

Rating: 4.7 /5
Max Doone Stumbled across Steph’s while heading to Southwark park with some friends and decided we needed a big meal to-go to keep us warm. I’m so glad we decided to go here rather than any option nearby - the service was incredible (walked us through the options and explained what came with a meal vs what didn’t clearly), food was fresh and delicious, the prices were very fair, and we were in and out in no time! I had half oxtail half brown stew chicken, rice and peas, mac and cheese, plantain, a festival and a beef patty, plus a drink, all for about £20, and not a single complaint about any of it! Thank you to the staff for being so lovely, I’ll come back next time I’m nearby!

Paella Shack Walthamstow -

Antonio MartĂn Mendieta Valencian here and loved it!!. We tried the Arros Negre (black rice paella) and we were incredibly surprise, it was sooooo good and also the quantity is great! We also order croquetas and they were delicious. If you want to try typical paella and feel like you are in Valencia, get an order of one of the paellas they cook, you will be thrilled. Also, with an order of 2 paellas, you get a complimentary tiny cup of chocolate (the size is more than enough) and some churros. A win win! The only sad thing is that the one in elephant and castle is not opened on Sundays and thats the only day you can ask for a Valencian paella with chicken and rabbit.

kricket canary wharf restaurant

Kricket Canary Wharf Restaurant -

Rating: 4.7 /5
Juhee Jyotheendran Went to Kricket in Canary Wharf, it is a fantastic Indian restaurant with a really well thought out menu. We ordered the thali and the Keralan fried chicken. The food was great overall, but the chicken really stood out, it was perfectly cooked, flavourful, and with just the right level of spice and crispiness. The thali is a brilliant option if you want to try a bit of everything. Each individual dish on the platter was made really well, and it didn’t feel like anything was an afterthought. It is a great way to experience a variety of flavours in one meal. Service was excellent from start to finish. Adarsh looked after us and was brilliant, he explained the dishes clearly, was attentive without being intrusive, and made sure everything was just right. The rest of the staff were also very attentive and timed everything perfectly. Would definitely recommend, especially if you’re in Canary Wharf and craving good Indian food with great service.
