5 /5 Mick Dunn: City Cruises at Westminster Pier on River Thames is a must-do attraction that gives you an opportunity to pre-view the city highlights before hitting the streets; and isn’t a cruise on River Thames a bucket list item unto itself? I purchased a two-way ticket to Tower Millennium Pier and back for just £19.95 which I thought was well worth the cost. There’s food and a full bar available on board, although I never bothered. You can choose to sit inside under the glass enclosure, or outside in the open air. If you’re like me you will have to change boats at the other pier before returning; this may involve a modest wait. A tour guide’s voice will announce many of the sites on route over the speakers, along with anecdotes. Highly recommended.
