5 /5 Wells Jason: Lovely place to visit on a sunny day. Sequoia trees, a castle and expansive woodland to help you get back to nature and a break from city life. Well served by public transport too.
5 /5 Hester Brown: Oxleas is an ancient wood in the heart of SE London, a gorgeous place to walk - small enough to wander and not get lost but big enough that you feel you can lose yourself! And 2 great cafes, whats not to like?
5 /5 Janos KV: 5/5 Stars – A hilltop gem! Stunning views from the spacious meadow and lovely forest trails for a refreshing walk. Highly recommended for dog owners! It’s great to have a café and toilets open on weekends, and the outdoor gym is a big plus. A perfect, well-maintained community spot for a weekend outing.
5 /5 Mark Roberts: A green lung in the heart of SE London with some beautiful ancient trees. It’s easy to lose yourself here for an hour or two. It’s also easy to combine a walk here with a walk around Falcon
Wood and Eltham Park. Navigation and orientation through the maze of woodland paths can be surprisingly tricky. Great for dog walking and despite feeling remote at times, it also feels very safe. The cafe is OK too.
5 /5 Anuththara Peiris: Oxleas Wood Park is a delightful escape with a small food hut offering delicious meals and coffees. The numerous footpaths leading in various directions add to the parks charm, providing exploration opportunities. The lush greenery creates a soothing and calm atmosphere, making it a truly enjoyable park experience.
