5 /5 FxFalcon: This was a wonderful place to sit and sketch. If the story is true its a beautiful place to be. Story is King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn danced around it and Queen Elizabeth I was sitting under it when she was told she was Queen. Does it matter?Nope there is almost 100% chance Queen Elizabeth I walked here and that was enough for me. It was peaceful and wonderful forever memory. If you get the chance give it a go. Beautiful walk either way.

5 /5 Katrin K: The whole park is beautiful and this is a piece of history. There’s a bit of information about the tree. A lovely getaway from the buzz of the city.

5 /5 Gaber Zidar: Time, time, ... this tree died in around 1.800 and was planted around 1.200 and finally fall in 1991 according to the tabe. There are new trees planted around as i.e. tree of CR III. Respect and remember.

4 /5 Chris Gledhill: This huge oak tree dates back to the 12th century and has a strong link to the Tudor Royal Family. According to legend, King Henry VIII once danced around this oak tree with Anne Boleyn, and Queen Elizabeth I was said to have often taken refreshment whilst relaxing in its shade. The tree itself is just a fallen trunk now, surrounded by a fence with a plaque. There’s a young oak tree (I think planted by Prince Phillip) next to it but that is now obscuring the plaque from view.
