Mo R We took a random trip down to Brighton on Sunday and decided to have Thai. This was the first restaurant that popped up and glad it hit the mark. We went on a very quiet day, only one other family in the restaurant with us. Service was excellent with an attentive waiter who made sure we were comfortable and even moved the heater near us as it was a freezing day. Food, I love a red Thai curry and enjoyed the chicken. Creamy sauce with added spice at our request. Starters were nice and fresh, chicken satay with a portion of squid also. Will return next time we have a random trip out to Brighton from London.

Bryn Glew My son decided to pick this place after asking him where he would like to eat? I am soo glad it picked here, we arrived on a Saturday evening though it was busy due to due the airshow, the staff manage to get us seated. The members of staff were so welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing, everything was done fresh and on point. Really good for a family of 3. We will definitely be returning next year for another go. Ilke Kartal We popped into Tun Tun’s on Monday for their free student curry and I’m officially hooked. The staff were so friendly – the moment we walked in they greeted us with big smiles and asked whether we’d like veg, vegan, or meat. I went for the chicken curry, and it was still piping hot by the time we got home. Considering it was completely free, it was absolutely delicious – generous portions, loads of chicken and lentils, and packed with flavour. Exactly what I needed on a gloomy Monday evening. I’ll definitely be going back to try more, especially since they also do a £5 student deal. Edit: We did end up going back to try the £50 mega thali, and it was incredible. We also ordered two mango lassi – smooth, sweet, refreshing, and perfect alongside the spicy dishes. The fish curry was light and fragrant, and the pastries were unreal, especially the sweet coconut pathi. The chana daal was comforting, and both the aubergine pakora and onion bhaji were delicious. The chutneys that came with everything were amazing too – a perfect mix of sweet, tangy, and spicy. I’ll definitely be returning, and next time I’m bringing friends!

Ace Since walking in, you’re greeted with an authentic vibe the music alone sets such a relaxing atmosphere. I ordered the Adana kebab and honestly, that was the best Adana I’ve ever had. I’m not even kidding it literally melts in your mouth, and the sides that come with it just complete the whole dish. I definitely recommend it for first‑timers like me.

Frank Burke I don’t normally review restaurants, but felt compelled to share the wonderful experience we had at the Toby Carvery in Willingdon this afternoon. The food was perfect, fresh and tasted divine. But possibly what made the meal for me was the exceptional service I received from our server Adele who was friendly, courteous and undoubtedly the reason why we will be coming back soon. Thank you Toby and thank you Adele. Refreshing to see food and service like this in today’s world.
