5 /5 Anzeela Khanal: I had an amazing experience at aloo tama. The food was absolutely delicious. You should definitely try Chatpate here, and also their momo is so flavorful. The ambiance is cozy and feels like you’re in a tiny corner of Nepal. Our server Nikku was really sweet. Overall if you’re looking for a great Nepali restaurant then aloo tama is your place to go.

The food was delicious: Daal, with chicken curry and rice, and the lukewarm carrot pudding with cardamon and pistachios was the icing on the cake! Friendly and swift service. Just the way to the toilet through the patio looked spooky in the dark (me and another female from a different table skipped going because of that :)). Nevertheless, I would repeat the visit anytime.

The food was absolutely amazing and gave us that warm, homely feeling. The owner was so nice and humble, which made the experience even better. If you’re looking for authentic Nepalese food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend trying the momo and pork jheer, both were outstanding. One of the best

1 /5 Es Dee: Don’t let the prices of the dishes fool you. Because the sides (small thin pieces of roti) are ££ the drinks are ££ they don’t serve tap water so you must pay again for water. The service charge isn’t optional and is set at 15%. Per person we spent £30 for a pre theatre meal (which isn’t that competitive!). The portions are tiny, the gravy of my curry was really bland and there were no salt/pepper on the tables. The toilet is outside!!! Outside in a shed!! and the service was really not good (we weren’t shown the bill, and were just given the card reader - until we asked for it). we would not come back.

5 /5 Sam: 5/5 Stars for Aloo Tama! Absolutely the best spot for authentic Nepalese flavour and amazing food. The steamed momos are perfect with their spicy red chutney, and the chilli momos (Aloo Tama special) deliver an excellent, tangy kick. Loved the smoky, deep flavor of the mutton sekuwa and the perfect crunch of the chatpate. The authentic aloo tama (potato and bamboo shoot curry) is hearty and wonderfully sour. And heres my bias: the pork jhir is simply the star of the menu; perfectly charred, succulent, and flavor-packed skewers. If you love pork, this is a non-negotiable must-order!
