3 /5 Kat Sackett: We had a meal here on Saturday as a family of four. It was a busy evening and unfortunately the service did not quite match the quality of the food.
I worked as a waitress for around eight years in fully booked restaurants where service still ran smoothly, so I do appreciate how challenging busy shifts can be.
After finishing our meal we waited about 15 minutes for the dessert menu, and once we had decided what we wanted, we then waited another 15 minutes for someone to take our order. Unfortunately nobody came, so we decided to skip dessert and ask for the bill instead.
When the owner became aware of the situation they were very apologetic and kindly offered us ice cream as a gesture, which we appreciated.
The food itself was good, but dining out is about the overall experience as well as the food, and the long wait for dessert did take away from the evening. It could have been a much better experience, which is a shame as the food was enjoyable.
