Emilia Visited on a Saturday afternoon, and as expected for a major motorway service area, the food court was extremely busy.
The main issue appears to be staffing; the unit felt significantly understaffed for the volume of customers, leading to long queues and tired-looking, stressed employees. I ended up feeling too overwhelmed to wait and lecture tired staff about the order issues, which is frustrating.
Speaking of issues, two things are consistent here:
Missing items: Part of the order was missing (again). I need to remember to check everything before leaving, but it’s a recurring frustration.
No Napkins: Takeaway orders consistently come without napkins.
Also, the advertised Wi-Fi in this area was not working during my visit.
On the positive side, despite the rush, I was able to easily find a clean table in the food court, which is a definite plus for a busy location. The food itself was the standard McDonalds fare. If you visit on a busy day, prepare for a wait and make sure you verify your order before you leave the counter.
