Butlers Wharf Chop House - (Near Southwark, london)

Root Less Been meaning to try this since I first spotted it some months ago: I shouldnt have dithered, its a delight! Firstly the most charming, kind and helpful family hosts you could imagine who clearly genuinely care so much about making sure you are happy. And with this food, who wouldnt be happy? Started with possibly the best empanadas I have ever tasted (and my waistline testifies that I have worked through very many, including in Latin America): melting flaky pastry enclosing soft potato and tasty beef brisket accompanied by a delicious chimichurri. I chose the Ecuadorian ceviche which was not on the menu but suggested by the waiter. It consisted of prawns in a zingy fresh broth with lime juice, tomato, thinly sliced onions accompanied by plaintain chips and popcorn. Some habanero hot sauce added some heat and I cleaned the ample dish. I enjoyed this with a lovely fresh mango and milk smoothie. And the delight didnt finish with the food - menu prices are very reasonable but the Ecuadorian ceviche turned out to be £5 cheaper than the Peruvian one: I would have happily paid the £20 on the menu but they insisted on charging only £15. What lovely people making food full of love, albeit in fairly plain surroundings but I cant wait to go back and continue working my way through the entire menu.

Ozzy Fur Lunchtime meal, it was a bit of a wait due to the lunch time rush. The place is.clean and tidy, staff are super friendly and attentive. Good range of healthy meals.

Sophia Appiah Food was amazing, burger was creamy and juicy and the fries were crunchy exactly how I love them . And who can resist fried chicken tenders? Plus, youve got your ketchup and mayo for dipping. It was a well-rounded plate that covered all the cravings. Service was excellent, I appreciate how staff paid attention to my order and didn’t miss any details. Definitely showing up again

Arsheen Aneja I stopped here for a cup of Turkish coffee which was excellent and made with my levels of sugar. Turkish delight was offered with the coffee. I’d like to return here to try some of their dishes.

PATENDLA BHOOPATHI The proper indian dosa and samosa chat and with a cup of chai wah fthats really i felt like a home food and the staff was really friendly and the food was not that expensive easy in budget friendly and the food i suggest to try for sure , now iam habited go more ! thanks for Horn okay and Team ✅

Antonio Ferullo By the looks of most recent reviews, this place needs no introduction, but what’s another 5 star review eh? Overwhelmingly deserving of the top honour, this very humble cafe serves delicious traditional breakfast, at honest prices, with huge portions. I was actually amazed when the plate hit my table. The staff are lovely, and this cafe frequented by locals gives it a very grounded vibe. I’d love to claim that I have found a hidden gem, but it sits quietly in plain sight, noticed my many previous reviewers. Cannot wait to return!
