mien tay

Mien Tay - Tower Hamlets

Rating: 3.9 /5
Elisabeth i sat down at mien tay expecting great food and those expectations were still surpassed. me and my dad came in here starving and i havent needed to eat for two days - it is very filling, the portion sizes are of incredible value.. you have been warned! the service was..how to say.. Minimal.... by which i mean very straight to the point, youre here for a delicious meal not for small talk with your waiter. had to call staff over rather than them coming to us but we didnt mind. starters were as good as we had heard, my dish (ginger duck + rice) was wonderful, flavourful, and hearty. it seems there is a lot of love going into this cooking.

Mohammed Thair Food was really nice. I was served by Shishir, and he is always very accommodating. I ordered the avocado egg and it was really nice. Highly recommend and the prices are really good too!

Ama Sushi -

Rating: 4.9 /5
Stephen Locke Magnificent sushi, with a wide range of choice and freshly made to order. Everything we had was perfectly seasoned and just the right temperature, with a wide range if textures too. The best sushi weve had since we were in Japan 5 months ago. Good value too. We ate in, to enjoy the freshness. The surroundings are functional but clean and comfortable enough.

Alison Taffs Very cosy and friendly small independent bar and cafe. I’ve been here twice: recently enjoyed a delicious breakfast- excellent quality butchers sausages, coffee very good too. They have an interesting and well chosen range of drinks, including local beers. Popular with families and good for local take aways too. A nice place to stop When you are in the area.

Patrik Krizek This is the Gem of the Honor Oak Pub located next to the Brokley Rice bus stop. The pub is well decorated and it has a garden too which is perfect for sunny days (if we are lucky to get them in London). The pub is kids friendly - kids menu included and kids stools accessible on request. They have a good selection of beer on draft and burgers too. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would suggest visiting this place in the evening time as they have a nice lighting set and interior atmosphere. A Take-away option is available. You can park on side roads within a walkable distance of the pub, which is great.

Dee Mills Very cool spot, loved the outside tables and general vibe. Super friendly staff that are welcoming and attentive. The sandwiches were absolutely bangin - the ragu was like the most delicious traditional italian pizza in a fresh baked ciabatta. The beef shin combined with the topside was so delicious and those crispy potatioes were heavenly. Waited about 2 years to visit, well worth that wait, but also wish Id gone sooner, way sooner, multiple times. Go and enjoy the delights, you wont be disappointed.
