Tea House Chinese Restaurant - Lewisham

Rating: 4.4 /5
Friend A Delicious Dim Sum Chinese food at a reasonable price compared to Chinatown in central London. Some restaurants rush their cooking and some skimp on portion size but this doesn’t. I’ve eaten at many Asian restaurants and this one was wonderful! Taro croquettes, Har Gau prawn dumplings, Prawn Cheung Fun rice rolls, jellyfish, beef ho fun flat wide rice noodles, pork ham siu gok dumplings and many more options to choose from. Clean, quiet, on the end of Deptford high street. Highly recommend â˜ș

Sarah Food was amazing and did not take that long to come out once we ordered. Ellie was our waitress and she was so kind and made the experience so enjoyable. If you’re looking for good music and food but want a quieter experience go on Friday evenings, if you want a busier lively time, go on Saturday. I would deffo recommend this place.

Emana Mangue Miguel “MP MANGUE” Incredible place with an African atmosphere, I felt at home with the welcoming treatment of the staff, the food was delicious although and at a good price, the live music. The only thing I didnt like is that the space is small, it should be a bigger place. For everything else, great. They deserve four stars!!!

Chaconia - Lewisham

Rating: 4.3 /5
Oliver Yung Ever so often, one craves that hearty, honest meal and for me, that’s Chaconia, a Trinidadian restaurant at the heart of Deptford. The simple and clean store front veils the rich and exciting flavours that belie. I ordered the chicken curry and rice and was persuasively nudged by a fellow diner to try the goat curry instead; fortunately, the most generous proprietress indulged my gustatory fancies and offered me a small side of that. It was a plate of absolute joy - both curries had distinct flavours and the meats were perfectly stewed, retaining their structure while being succulent to the bite. The rice was well flavoured and was the perfect accompaniment to those rich curries. At £5, this was an absolute steal. I’ll be back.
