1 /5 Guy Mayhew: In December we called the previous day to request a table of four for the evening 6:30pm and were told that would be no problem for us early diners but they only reserve 6 persons plus. Odd but ok. Just rock up.
This was for a family catch up and 80 year old fighting cancer and recovering from many many surgeries.
Upon arrival a stressed and quite frankly unpleasant man informed us that they would never have told us to come in and we cant possibly eat there. It did not matter about the phone call, we were spoken to rudely, no acknowledgement or explanation of shocking service and ushered out.
I know how a restaurant should be run, fifteen years in the trade,and that was not it in any way shape or form.
I have not left so raged with an interaction from a restaurant in years.
The owner would have been mega annoyed if he saw whats going on there.
I would hate to invest and try and grow a business to have such a low grade employee give such a sub bar service.
