5 /5 Laura Quinn: Came to Kudasai due to the 5* reviews with no expectations really. Walked into a really relaxed cafe atmosphere, which the amazing chef Joel converts into a Japanese restaurant from 6-10pm Tuesday to Saturday. Wow. I can honestly say we had a 5* experience. The food blew expectations out of the water. The fish was fresh, sushi perfect, the crispy rice and miso aubergine were out of this world and you could tell the wasabi didn’t come out of the usual packet. It was fresher. And hit the spots! We spoke to the chef at the end and what a pleasure it was. A must try in Balham! Thank you so much! We will be back for open mic night.

5 /5 Sonnie Spenser: I’ve recommended this little local spot several times and each time I’m proved right! Delicious fresh sushi made with real passion, and very decent prices for both quality and portion. The bottomless hotpot is a must in winter, and the sushi is delicious year round! So very pleased to be able to support an indie spot.

5 /5 Dozza Ko: The food here is fresh, delicious and worth the visit. We had a mixture of starters. Our sashimi platter was stunning. Im a frequent flyer and Kudasai never disappoints. The attention to detail and presentation of the dishes is second to none. Im going to try the bottomless menu next time which includes a hotpot which is a personal favourite.

3 /5 Anon: Food looked great and on the whole tasted it. Best things - sashimi set and miso aubergine!! 3 stars on food only because, they were stingy with premium ingredients: - the chef has his own ‘take’ on the Rainbow roll where instead of crab inside they put cucumber… don’t get me wrong, the texture is great but I ordered it because I like the classic rainbow roll - their octopus balls (starter by a different name) have a pea sized piece of octopus in - the separate order of salmon sashimi we made was no where near as big as the sashimi we had in the set.
