editsbygaz Food was spot on, some of the best that we have had. Had some chips, halloumi bites, curry sauce and a pineapple fritter. All fried to perfection and delivered by the boss after being let down by an external driver. 10/10

Richard Appleton A pretty perfect dining experience, the food is absolutely outstanding and the starters/snacks are wonderfully varied and inventive, and all superb. Particular mention to the tuna starter and the cheese crumpet. The service is slick but not intrusive but the restaurant still retains a relaxed small town feel. The wine list is extensive without being stupidly sized with an excellent variety in both taste and price with plenty of options by the glass if preferred. It wasn’t worth reducing to a 4* review but if one was being extremely picky I would say the main course options were relatively limited outside of pure meat dishes (one fish, no vegetarian) and the portions are not huge, but that’s somewhat to be expected with food of this quality. Will visit again for sure

Colin Lievens We came here for afternoon tea as part of a virgin experience days spa voucher. I was very impressed by how well they accommodated dietary requirements, my partner is sensitive to dairy but does eat meat and he was so glad to not just be given the vegan option. Staff were incredibly friendly and were kind enough to give newt a little chocolate happy birthday (with vegan chocolate!) I was really worried that afternoon tea wouldn’t be very filling but by the end we were both absolutely stuffed!!! The scones were delicious and warm and it was lovely to have generous amounts of both jam and lemon curd to top them with! The selection of teas was delightful and everything we tried was delicious. My only criticism is that we weren’t super clear on what drinks were and weren’t included and we would have appreciated the staff being clear about non-tap water costing extra

Jonny Hines I have ordered from here twice and always had fresh, delicious food. Ive just ordered for the third time. The negative reviews dont match my experience. They also called me up to check swapping an item was ok. Good customer service to boot. Thanks
