MADDOGLEP I think this must be fairly new as I have no recollection of this pub / restaurant. Thomas Paine has strong local connections, unlike Casta and Madge. He helped inspire the American revolutionary war and almost lost his head in the French one. Silly so and so. I had another Harveys Sussex best bitter. One of three real ales on my visit. Very good. Up steep stairs finds a roof terrace. Must be lovely on a warm sunny day / evening. Free wifi.

Caitlin OConnell I had this burger today at Abyss - honestly delicious. I even got a cheeky bit of nacho cheese sauce with my chips. Thank you, this made my day ❤️

David Convery I went here recently and had an incredible, filling meal at an exceptionally cheap price. The service was fantastic too.

Pot of Tea We celebrated our son and future daughter in-laws engagement here. The staff were brilliant and treated them to a glass of bubbles and cute congratulations motif on their desserts. It was great to have an exclusive little room to ourselves and we felt unhurried and relaxed. Thank you

Linda Mears This is a quirky little pub. So much to feast your eyes on inside! Food is very good, service and atmosphere is first class. The Snowdrop is only open from Thursday to Sunday. Check their website before visiting. But it is certainly worth a visit.
