Christabel Charrington Loved this venue for a sophisticated hen party!! We recently hired the Venetian room at the Ardington Hotel to celebrate a hen party in the afternoon and we were so impressed with the venue and service. Richard was very helpful and professional in the run up to the event!! Any queries or concerns were addressed promptly and Richard went over and above to accommodate. On the day the staff looking after us were very attentive and gave us a fantastic service. The food was delicious and we were able to decorate the room prior to the event which really helped. We had a lovely afternoon celebrating our friends hen party with our own music playlist, crafts and hen party games. I would absolutely recommend this venue for an afternoon hen party or similar event!! Thank you Richard, Simon and your fabulous team!! best wishes Chris ps. We didnt stay overnight so couldnt comment on the rooms.

James Mould I visited in April 2024 for lunch and a few beers. The pub is a very traditional building with a comfy vibe. The furniture has that time served patina that cannot be faked. Theres no music, no gaming machines, and no TVs. A proper pub that has a relaxing atmosphere which encourages conversation. The Landlady, Sam, is so welcoming that you soon feel like youve known her for ages! Theres a good range of reasonably priced food should you choose to eat as well. Ill be back!

The Arcades Fish Restaurant -

RESITA I recently visited The Arcades Restaurant in Worthing and had a really enjoyable experience. I ordered the fish and chips, along with octopus – which I tried for the very first time. The fish and chips were excellent. But the standout for me, though, was the octopus. Having never tried it before, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it turned out to be a real highlight. It was tender, perfectly cooked, and had a subtle, delicate taste. I’m glad I stepped out of my comfort zone to try. The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and welcoming, and the service matched it – attentive without being intrusive. Overall, The Arcades delivered a great dining experience that balanced classic seaside favorites with something a little more adventurous. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Worthing.

Dominique Mardle I’ve visited twice now and both experiences have been great. The service is friendly and welcoming, the food is fresh, homemade, and delicious, and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. Lovely atmosphere, I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes.

Sally McLachlan First time at China Palace and would not hesitate to return. Great large round tables for family or larger parties and plenty of space for round smaller tables too. We thought the all you can eat menu was excellent value and our service was excellent throughout making it easy to not order too much and then add bits when we wanted too. All our food was hot and tasty with the king prawns, duck and chicken satay a highlight.

Alderson Olivia Im gluten free (non coeliac) and they were amazing with explaining what they do to ensure as little cross contamination as possible! It was a lovely lively atmosphere even at 9am on a Sunday! We had the pancake stack - a great way to start the day. The peach iced tea was wonderful tart as well, not too sweet!
