Buttercup Sandwiches - Oxfordshire

Alex Anderson Really friendly, quick service, good portion sizes and really tasty lunch! As a bonus the cakes, flapjacks, cookies etc... are all only a quid each! Anywhere else you go youll pay ÂŁ2.50 for a slice of cake or a cookie. Been coming here for lunch almost every day for a few weeks now and really happy with everything Ive been served. Would recommend to anyone on the estate. Better yet, they even deliver!

Harvester Plough Sutton - Sutton

Rida Giballa "We had a fantastic experience at Harvester Sutton, made truly special by our server, Matt. He was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely professional throughout our entire meal. From ensuring our drinks were topped up to making sure the food arrived perfectly, nothing was too much trouble for him. It’s rare to receive such high-quality service with such a friendly, positive attitude. Matt is an absolute credit to the team—we’ll definitely be back soon!"

Star of the Sea -

Rating: 4.4 /5
David Oxley The price of traditional fish and chips has sadly risen over the last couple of years, so its more of an occasional than a regular treat for us. That said, when its time for fish and chips, Star of the Sea serves up delicious, freshly battered cod (and other fish), and a generous-sized portion of tasty, crisp chips. Last week, we had a small cod in a bap, medium cod, and regular chips (plenty for two), for ÂŁ19. Theres a good selection on the menu if you dont just want fish, including mushy peas :)

Isra Rai Came here for lunch with a friend. We are aware that Amersham has many amazing pubs and restaurants so it was stiff competition but we were absolutely blown away and happy with our choice. The whole menu looked delicious and left us struggling to choose. We decided on ordering from the set menu as it was entirely reasonably priced (~25 per head) for three courses- by the end you really are full and satisfied. Of course accompaniments like bread and drinks also add to the cost, however these are well worth it. The sourdough bread with maple butter was a standout- the sourdough is made fresh and so is still warm and lovely- but the butter was the standout. As soon as we tasted it, we each ate an even half of the butter provided- it is so moreish and indescribably tasty. We actually ordered a second round of bread just for the butter! The wine was also great, and waiters came around to to top off our glasses with the carafe even though it was next to our table in an ice bucket- excellent service. I also recommend a coffee with alcohol for afters- it is the perfect way to end a meal. We both ordered the fishcake starter, the wagyu burger main, and sticky toffee pudding dessert. All three were magnificent and surprisingly generous portions- although the starter and dessert were not massive they are so high quality that they satisfy you better than large flavourless slabs of food that you find at other restaurants. The fishcake had a fabulous tartar like sauce, and you could tell that the fishcake itself was hearty and not full of filler like many fishcakes at other places. The wagyu burger comes with skinny fries which are much appreciated (neither of us are a fan of the chunky fries epidemic), and has a delicious smoky flavour from the sauce and cheese. It was a huge portion and we need a rest break after finishing that course! Yet was, again, amazingly high quality. The sticky toffee pudding was magnificent, with a really flavourful gingerbread ice cream and candied pecans that gave a satisfying texture. Ambience and service was excellent. Waitstaff were polite, attentive, and friendly, and the rustic interior is well heated and cozy- perfect for enjoying a meal. The whole experience is well worth the price, which I think is extremely fair for what you get. If youre looking for a high end place to go for good food, go here.

MOOD In The Park Restaurant & Cocktail Bar - Hounslow

Rating: 4.8 /5
Michael Sutphin We stayed at the Hilton and didnt feel like traveling out so went to the MOOD. Great atmosphere and had an amazing bar area! As a group of 3, we were the first people in the restaurant, yet the food still took some time to get out. BUT it was amazing when it did, so the wait was worth it. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a great looking and chill vibe location to eat.
