Nuno Gois Well, I had been told this place was a fantastic Fish and chips destination and I was not disappointed at all. The portion sizes are Amazing, crispy batter that is not rancid or oily. So good to have tried it. 1000% recommend it.

It was our 2nd time booking a dinner because we would like to use the 30% off discount and also a free dessert from a scratch card we got in the previous meal in Dec. On the night we were served by Fenella, who was very nice and friendly! We ordered the taste of Mildreds set and also requested to swap the main dish into a starter, on top adding another starter for the dinner. She explained to us that the discount couldnt be applied on the set menu but a-la-carte only, which was completely understandable! Despite our very complicated order, she managed to deliver the dishes as we ordered, and also gave both of us the desserts for free! (The pistachio cheesecake was another level!) To finish the dinner, we ordered some dips to takeaway, Fenella did the math for us to save some cost! (Very considerate!) I hope we could see her again next time! We also looking forward to a new menu soon! (But please keep the red pepper dip in the menu!)

Samanta Grinberga I visited 14 Stories in 2024 to celebrate my birthday and it was such a lovely experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was amazing, I genuinely felt like a special guest. The staff were sophisticated, attentive, and very knowledgeable, which really elevated the whole experience. The rooftop views of London were stunning, and the interior was just as impressive; beautifully designed, elegant, and very aesthetic. It was a beautiful rooftop dining experience, not just for the views but for the overall atmosphere too. It is on the more expensive side, but for a special occasion we didn’t mind at all. We didn’t go overboard and spent around £65 per person, and everything was beautifully presented and genuinely delicious. The place was spotless, well presented, and it was clear the staff take real pride in what they do. We managed to capture some gorgeous photos, and I was even surprised with a small birthday dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. I’d absolutely love to return and really indulge in the cocktails and explore more of the menu. I’d highly recommend this for a more sophisticated occasion — whether that’s with friends, family, or for a fancy date. Definitely a memorable experience.

Chris D I dont give 5 stars, but this place deserves every single one. We were sat at the bar, a nice setting and atmosphere, before our meal and had a great cocktail, very smooth and tasty. Once sat at our table we have picked the wine pairing with the 7 course meniu, the food was delicious and perfectly explained as well as the wine pairing that complemented the food. The service was absolutely excellent and without a fault, we have expressed our gratitude for a very well job done, would not believe the staff has only 3 weeks there. All of this over a 3h45min experience in a very nice and cosy environment. Highly recommend, it is worth every penny.

Connor Langham The poor reviews of this place are not to be believed. The food is nothing short of exceptional. Meat is tender, sauces extremely flavoursome and the portions plentiful. I live in Brighton and would happily drive to Eastbourne just to eat here.

Rashideen Khan I’ve lived nearby for 15 years and have been ordering from Happy Inn all this time. It’s the best Chinese restaurant in our southeast area. The chicken wings and the king prawn chow mein are especially good — I order them every time. The food is always served piping hot and has a real home-style feel. Their chili oil is homemade, incredibly fresh, and properly spicy. The atmosphere is also great: air-conditioned in summer and heater in winter. I like chatting with the staff — it’s very relaxing.
