EAT 31 CARIBBEAN CUISINE -

Rating: 4.6 /5
Joana P Decided to have try this Caribbean take away for the first time, we had a jerk chicken, salad, coleslaw, fried chicken and rum cake. Jerk chicken was great in flavour and portion sizes was very good, the only thing I would have wanted more was more sauce with the jerk so if you do like it saucy ask for more, rum cake was delicious, very moist… overall really nice food. Highly recommend and I will be back to try and few more things off the menu.

Erika T Hearty homemade food! Perfect for a cold day. We got takeaway for lunch: Coconut chicken and pork with soy bean paste. Loved the slight kick with the pork. Good portions. We will be back !

Rajiv Shah What a fantastic authentic steak restaurant located in a nice location, with plenty of parking and ambience. Menu options are vast and we loved the fact that the kitchen is located right in the entrance and we get to see what is happening. Good quality steak, sufficient portions and attentive staff. In particular, our cocktails were fantastic and really did take us back to South America. We will be visiting again!

Neil Taylor We booked for Sunday lunch, ordered the chicken and porchetta, which came with beans, carrots, roast potatoes and Yorkshire puds. We both agreed it was one of the best, if not the best, Sunday lunches weve ever had, and IMHO it surpassed my long-time favourite, Hawksmoor. Everything was just so delicious, I tried to choose my "star of the show" and I think it had to be the roast potatoes!! I even surprised myself with that claim! It just shows, simple can be the best...nothing overly fancy, just great ingredients, cooked to perfection. And we finished by sharing pear crumble with honeycomb ice cream - wow, amazing! Service was spot on too.

GAILs Bakery Barnet - Barnet

Rating: 4.2 /5
Yosmary Pestana I’ve spent a lot of time at Gail’s in High Barnet during my maternity leave. As a new mum, finding places that genuinely feel welcoming and practical can be surprisingly difficult, but Gail’s really stands out on the high street. It’s one of the few coffee shops locally with accessible bathroom facilities for mums with babies, including a proper baby changing facility. That alone makes such a difference. Every time I come in with the buggy, the team are kind and helpful. They often open the door for me when they can and have never once made me feel awkward or uncomfortable about bringing the pram inside. Sadly, that hasn’t been my experience everywhere on the high street. Some places make you feel like arriving with a baby and buggy is an inconvenience, almost as though you are a liability rather than a paying customer. Gail’s is the complete opposite. The team are warm, welcoming and understanding, which means so much during those early months when even leaving the house can feel like an achievement. On top of that, the food and coffee are consistently great, and the café is always clean and comfortable. It has been a lovely and reliable place to spend time, meet other mums, or simply enjoy a quiet coffee. Well done to the team at Gail’s High Barnet. You have created a space that genuinely welcomes mums and babies, and it does not go unnoticed.

La Baita - Lewisham

Rating: 4.6 /5
Williams Warren We had a great meal at La Baita. We’ve lived in Chingford for just over a year now and this was our first visit. Having tried several restaurants on Station Road, La Baita is now one of my favourites and certainly the most reasonably priced. Great food, friendly staff and lively atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.
