5 /5 Jacqui Cross: Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell were lucky enough to come to Smoke & Mirrors Restaurant for our Xmas meal with an exclusive booking, Caitlyn was a wonderful host, greeting us with mulled wine and beautifully dressed table. I can honestly say that we were all blown away by the food, the presentation and taste of each and every dish was incredible and I would definitely recommend booking a table here, Jordan the Chef is so very talented that whatever you choose on the menu you wont be dissappointed!

5 /5 Daniel Glanfield: Took my partner to Smoke & Mirrors for his 40th birthday, and honestly, I’m not even sure where to start — it was that good. Right from the moment we walked in, we were made to feel so welcome. Our server greeted us with such warmth that any nerves about trying a new place just melted away. A few minutes in, she came over to take our drink order, and while that’s totally normal, what stood out was how well she knew the menu. Her recommendations for both drinks and food were spot on — super honest and clearly based on real knowledge and experience, which felt really refreshing. We had a starter, main, and dessert, and every single dish was incredible. You could taste the passion and effort that went into every bite. Nothing felt rushed or overdone — just really well-cooked, thoughtful food that made the night feel special. You can really tell there’s a lot of love behind this place. If you’re thinking about trying somewhere new, I’d say go for it — Smoke & Mirrors is absolutely worth it. Big thank you to the amazing server and the chef for making the evening so memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

5 /5 Tom Byrne: Went here for a Pre-Christmas celebration with my partner. Wed wanted to visit for a long time, and recommend calling in advance as they were fully booked for the first date we were after! Theres a reason for that though - the food is spectacular (my starter pictured) and the ambience is incredible. We stuck around for an extra glass of wine, just to stay in it longer. For a place thats so often booked, it was relaxed and welcoming. Clearly the service has had as much attention and consideration as the food, creating a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended - Portsmouth is very lucky to have this place!

5 /5 Luke Nukem: The best restaurant in Portsmouth by a country......michellin star worthy...flawless!!! Waiting staff: know there stuff, friendly, attentive and know their stuff!!! Service: 5 star, treated like royalty. They create a real fine dining experience..timed perfectly. Starters: Jammy dodger: pastry with a plum/fig and chicken pate - stunning. Smoke & Mirrors Scotch Egg: Stunning. Mains Pork Belly: stunning! Salmon fishcake: stunning! Spiced Duck: stunning Dessert Affogato: Amazing Cheescake: stunning Cheeseboard: great..lone critique is it needed a chutney!! You wont find anywhere like this in Portsmouth. The Chef trained under the legend that is Marco Pierre White and it shows. Easily Michellin star food, with the servicr levelnto match. It was 6/3/26. Wish id got the waiter and waitress name to honour here. There is a long waiting list to book....BUT DO....ITS WORTH IT!!!! Thank you for an amazing evening!!!

The food is out of this world delicious and Caitlin has the most impeccable and attentive service skills. I have been dreaming about the Scotch egg, its just pure perfection. Thank you so much for making our evening so special. We cant wait to visit again!
