5 /5 Andrew D: This is one of Hastingss classic old pubs situated near to All Saints Church at the end of All Saints St. The interior is full of old wood, creaking floorboards and exterior there is a beautiful three level garden at the back with apple and pear trees and lots of seating.
Ive been coming here for over 15 years when on holiday in Hastings and has changed management a few times. The ale is at the pricier end being a Shepherd Naeme tenanted pub.
I was super pleased the food hasnt suffered under the new management and actually has maintained the excellent standard. As a seafood lover, there are always 2 or 3 amazing options - we had the baked cod and mackerel fillet options, both were delicious and Id highly recommend.
Card is taken and evening food service begins at 6pm. There is live music on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
