What Clients Are Saying The Black Horse Inn, Findon (GG)
5 /5 Vero Nica: My partner and I thought the seafood platter for two was awesome. We enjoyed every bit of that. We found the rack of ribs also very tasty. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs (very good portions) so we couldn’t finish it all & they kindly gave us a doggy bag. Staff were great; very friendly and attentive. Doggy biscuits available on the bar & water bowl for dogs on the floor. Accessible toilet! This is a fabulous pub.
5 /5 Camelia Botnar Foundation: We have just had our company Christmas meal at the Black Horse for a party of 50. The food was amazing, very good portion sizes to satisfy our big eaters and it was hot. The staff were very organised serving the food which can always be a challenge with a party of 50. Every one of us had a great evening and will be booking again. I am sure lots of the party will be back again with their own families as we were all so pleased. I have booked many venues over the last 20 years and this one was the top of the list. Highly recommended
5 /5 Kevin: Came to be here quite unexpectedly due to a broken down car. All we needed was a warm place to sit and some food. We got warmth both from the fireplace and the lovely people here. Food was waaay above needs and expectations, really beautifully presented, flavourful and healthy portions! So very grateful for the team (tried other places in Findon who dont serve food all day!!!). Ty.
5 /5 Jennifer Curtis: Havent been to the Black Horse for quite a few years but the food was lovely and even in the festive chaos the staff were still attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back
Chris Had a very nice lunch here today. It’s been a while since I’ve eaten here. Usually just visit for the garden centre, but my friend and I decided to eat whilst here. This is a great family run cafe/restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. We were seated quickly and served quickly, although it was fairly busy (and is normally packed out)
I had the poached eggs with smashed avocado with an oat milk cappuccino. The coffee is very nice here too, probably the nicest I’ve had in a while. My friend had the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and it looked delicious. All tasted fresh and came quickly too. Extra seating now for when it is very busy, which meant we didn’t have to wait for a table today. Lots of variety on the menu, and some of the other food being served up looked delicious too. Glad to see this place is still open and doing well. The staff here clearly work very hard to provide great food and service. Very reasonable prices too. Would recommend.
Dean Kelly Working locally I asked for recommendations for a decent pub to get dinner. It was suggested I come in the Queens Head. I’m so pleased I did.
I had a mixed grill and not a single item was less than perfectly cooked.
The atmosphere was good, quite busy. I believe it’s steak night. Seems a really popular place with locals.
Only downside is the car park is a bit tight. But with a number plate registration system at the bar you can’t really knock a star off just for that.
Hayley Page Came with my Husband for a Sunday Roast. The place itself is absolutely beautiful and was greeted by Chantelle who made us very welcome. She couldn’t do enough to make our visit more perfect. The food was exceptional. The service was great and we will definitely be returning. We then took our dog for a walk in the beautiful grounds. This place is outstanding and would highly recommend.
Joanne Kashmina My favourite restaurant in Leytonstone, great range of food from more straightforward Kazakh dishes like besbarmak to the more aromatic lagman. Recommend trying the uighur dishes if you like unusual delicious flavours. Surprisingly lovely fruit tea. Very reasonably priced considering portion sizes.
Guglielmo Delasa Best dosa in town, hence the name! Seriously, though: this place is amazing, and not just for dosa. Their cooking is real, authentic, and wholesome. Their food is exceptional, the atmosphere and vibes great, and the service is quick. Its one of my go-to in the area.
