5 /5 Maria Azar: I went to The Ivy Castle View in Guildford for Christmas dinner with colleagues from work, and it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was even more exceptional. Anthony, made the experience truly special and unforgettable. He was attentive, friendly, and always checked on us, even when the restaurant was very busy. His professionalism and warmth really stood out. I had the fillet steak, which was incredibly tender and cooked perfectly, exactly as recommended. Everything from start to finish was outstanding. I would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning again.

4 /5 K G: We’ve always enjoyed The Ivy in Guildford and the food on our visit last January was superb, as you would expect from the brand. The quality of the dishes was excellent and very much in line with the usual Ivy standard. However, the service on this occasion felt noticeably below what we’ve experienced before. The staff seemed quite tired and a little lethargic compared to the normally polished and attentive service the chain is known for. When you regularly visit Ivy restaurants and know the standard they typically deliver, the difference was quite noticeable. Because of that slightly mediocre service we haven’t returned since, as Gold Level members we still regularly visit The Ivy Asia and other Ivy restaurants around the country, which continue to deliver the level of experience we usually associate with the brand.

5 /5 Zoe Evans: We visited in December 2025 with friends and had the most wonderful meal. The food was delicious and the service made the whole experience so much better. Our waiter, Louis, was fantastic! So attentive, knowledgeable and funny. We had a brilliant time and would highly recommend. Portion sizes are big which makes the food great value for money.

2 /5 j: Very disappointed this time. Food had been left under a heat lamp for too long. Poached eggs were not runny. Scrambled egg was hard. The baked beans had a slightly skin on the top . Definitely not what we expected

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and elegant, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and professional throughout. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, with great attention to detail and flavour. The service was excellent without feeling rushed, making the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. The setting is stylish yet comfortable, perfect for a special occasion or a lovely meal out. I would highly recommend The Ivy Guildford and look forward to returning again soon.
