Bríg x My friend and I meet up regularly for a late lunch and Cocktails so we have been to quite a few places. The Kara, with its £15.95 set menu and a Cocktail bar for laters enticed us, and in all honesty it exceeded our expectations. From the moment of our arrival and throughout, the service from all was very professional, attentive, and friendly. We were even asked if we were happy with the table they had selected for us, which is a first for me. A big shout out to Ozzy who looked after us during the meal, very helpful and with a good sense of humour. The food was delicious and plenty, wine and Cocktails a reasonable price. I was very impressed when we were asked if we would like to take time to digest our starter before the main. They will even supply you with a food bag to take home, if you can’t manage it all.
The decor is modern, buzzy and fun, with a crazy lighting and mirrored area to allow for taking photos on the way to the toilets. It was like being in a London restaurant, but without paying a fortune. We had allowed time for a couple of cocktails in the Cocktail bar area, and they were excellent, made to a high standard with attention to detail. As it was a Friday we enjoyed a little of the live singing by a lovely lady (believe it was Nikita KC) who interacted with us as she sang, and even said goodbye when we left.
We will definitely be back.
